Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD) About BARDīARD is an acronym for “Braille and Audio Reading Download.” On February 2, 2010, the Florida Bureau of Braille and Talking Books Library assumed administration of the BARD program for the State of Florida from the National Library Service, Library of Congress. Contact the library if you need assistance. If you prefer to receive only books you select, we encourage you to keep a long list so that you can receive books on a regular basis. BR indicates a book in the Braille format. Book numbers begin with two letters: DB or BR. These numbers are listed in our catalogs with the title and a brief descriptive paragraph about the book. The Touch and Listen Newsletter keeps you up to date with what's going on at the Braille and Talking Book Library as well as new additions to the collection of recorded works.Įach title in our collection has a unique number.
